I definitely need a rest day but I still wanted to do something this morning so I went to the gym and hit the racquetball around for a while, then I worked on Overhead Squat form and did the Burgener warm-up just to get things moving and then practiced the form on the full squat clean.
I basically did a 25 minute warm-up routine which was beneficial in that it got sore muscle and joints moving. I wouldn't necessarily do it every rest day but it seemed to fit in here.

Rest Day
Since it's so nice I decided to take today off. I could have gone for today's WOD at Crossfit, run 10k, but I decided to take my rest day today instead of tomorrow. I had stuff to do this morning and then this afternoon I had to transplant a tree that had what could be the most vast root system I've ever seen. The neighbor's windows were rattling when I was chopping those roots. That was about a 45 minute workout so rest day my ass.

Rest Day
I still went to the gym today but only did a warm-up and some hanging leg raises and L-hangs. Light workout about 20 minutes with warm-up and cool-down. Tomorrow's WOD (for me) doesn't involve direct abs or pull-ups so I could make sure I didn't work anything that's going to be targeted tomorrow. I'm already looking forward to tomorrow's WOD, looks like fun. I like the one's that look easy but experience tells you you're going to be pretty beat afterwards.

Day Twenty Eight - Rest Day
Today is a rest day from exercise. Undereating is some apples, a banana, some raisins, and a good healthy doughnut, whoops.
Overeating is going to be some chicken breast and broccoli and cheese couscous.
Looks like a high carb today.

Day Fourteen - Rest Day
I basically took the day off today. It was an rest day for exercise and sort of morphed itself into a rest day from the Warrior Diet.
I pretty much felt tired and groggy all day and took a nap in the afternoon for the first time in oh, at least 13 days.
The carbs I ate during the day really effected me. If I had the choice, and I do, I'd rather be a little hungry during the day. It seems that once I started eating stuff like crackers and a bagel, I couldn't make myself feel full. Even now, my stomach is full but I don't feel satisfied like I do when eating the way prescribed in the Warrior Diet.
What was really noticeable was how the cookie I ate changed the way the apples tasted. For two weeks, the apples I've been eating tasted like candy. After one cookie, the apples tasted bland. That's sad. I think it's good to take a day off from everything and sort of regroup. It's good for perspective. I don't think I want to take any more days off again, though. Even if I don't continue with the Warrior Diet, I think I'll have learned a lot about when to eat certain foods.
