Day Fourteen - Rest Day

I basically took the day off today. It was an rest day for exercise and sort of morphed itself into a rest day from the Warrior Diet.

I pretty much felt tired and groggy all day and took a nap in the afternoon for the first time in oh, at least 13 days.

The carbs I ate during the day really effected me. If I had the choice, and I do, I'd rather be a little hungry during the day. It seems that once I started eating stuff like crackers and a bagel, I couldn't make myself feel full. Even now, my stomach is full but I don't feel satisfied like I do when eating the way prescribed in the Warrior Diet.

What was really noticeable was how the cookie I ate changed the way the apples tasted. For two weeks, the apples I've been eating tasted like candy. After one cookie, the apples tasted bland. That's sad. I think it's good to take a day off from everything and sort of regroup. It's good for perspective. I don't think I want to take any more days off again, though. Even if I don't continue with the Warrior Diet, I think I'll have learned a lot about when to eat certain foods.

Day Fourteen - Undereating

Well, I didn't really undereat. There were these homemade cookies you see, and I just licked the batter and then I got hungry and I tried an apple but I still had to have a cookie. I ate one. Then, I ate two more. Then I was still hungry so I had a sandwich and some cheese and crackers.

I noticed I got a little dizzy one I stood up after eating those cookies. I guess my body's not used to that rush of sugar, especially on an empty stomach.

I'm not the type to linger on mistakes so I'll just get back on the wagon tomorrow. It's actually easier during the week. It's just a matter of not eating breakfast and lunch. It's not like there's a big plate of homemade cookies just sitting there begging to be tasted.

I feel like I need a nap though, ugh.
